Guidebook is now Dedicated to Higher Ed

Guidebook is now Dedicated to Higher Ed
- Guidebook is now built only for higher education. A change in focus, not a redesign.
- We believe student success is about belonging, not grades alone, and that belief shapes everything we build.
- One app for every campus use case, across admissions, orientation, and student affairs.
- Nothing changes for existing customers. Same account, same billing.
- New now: a Slate integration landing, with accessibility improvements already shipping.
This is not a redesign. This is far more than that.
Guidebook is committing all its resources to higher education. When it's clear that one part of your business aligns with your mission and goals, you listen. So we did. From here on, we build for one audience: universities, and the admissions, orientation, and student affairs teams inside them.
This is the work we believe in most. Now it's the only work we do.
We heard it on campus.
Earlier this year we spent time in Georgia and North Carolina, talking with everyone from a VP of student affairs to the student volunteers running the day. Different roles, one message: student success is more than academic success.
It's belonging. It's whether a student feels part of the place, ready to hold eye contact, communicate an idea, debate well, and walk into an interview with confidence. As Brittany Jackson, director of orientation and new student programs at North Carolina A&T State University, has described it, the work is about helping new students find their footing and feel connected from day one. Universities are preparing students for a future no one can predict, and trusting them to go make it better. That belief shapes everything we make.
What this means for your team
What that looks like depends on your team. Admissions runs yield. Orientation builds belonging. Student affairs keeps students connected all year. See how different departments use Guidebook. One app, on the device your students actually use, with less pointless admin and more time spent on students.
What's changing, and what isn't
Our Slate integration is landing now, with accessibility improvements already shipping and more on the way. Big changes are coming, and every one of them points the same direction: campus.
If you already work with us, nothing about your account or billing changes. This is about where we aim our energy, not about moving anyone.
Want to see the whole picture? One app for every moment that matters. And if you're weighing it for your own team, here's how one orientation team put it to work.
So stay. Take a look around. This is the Guidebook we always wanted to build, and you're going to see a lot more of it.
What does a higher-ed-only focus mean?
It means Guidebook now builds for one audience: universities and the admissions, orientation, and student affairs teams inside them. Every product decision, event feature, and roadmap choice runs through a single question: does this help an institution recruit, welcome, and keep students? We no longer split our attention across other markets. The in-person moments that build belonging on campus are the whole job now.
[faq]
Q: Is this just a website redesign?
A: No. Guidebook is now built only for higher education, and everything we design serves the events and moments that help universities recruit, welcome, and keep students. The look is new. What matters more is that our full attention is now on campus.
Q: What does Guidebook do now?
A: We build for universities and the teams inside them: admissions, orientation, and student affairs. One app covers the use cases each team runs, from yield events to orientation to year-round connection, on the device students already use. You can see how different departments use Guidebook on the new site.
Q: I'm an existing customer outside higher education. What changes for me?
A: Nothing about your current account or billing changes. This decision is about where we focus our energy and what we build next, not about moving anyone off what they already have. If you have questions about your account, your Guidebook contact is the best place to start.
Q: What's new right now?
A: A Slate integration is landing, and accessibility improvements are already shipping with more on the way, so more students can take part fully. This is the start of a steady run of higher-ed work, not a one-time announcement.
Q: What does belonging mean here?
A: It's the feeling that a student is part of the place, from the moment an institution says yes. Belonging is built through the events a campus designs: the Admitted Student Day that makes a decision feel right, the orientation that turns strangers into a class. Guidebook exists to make those moments easier to run and more meaningful to attend.
Q: Where can I learn more?
A: Take a look around the new site, and explore how different departments use Guidebook to recruit, welcome, and keep students.
