What Is Guidebook Badges and How Does It Enhance The Event Experience?

Guidebook Badges is built around the Guidebook ID QR Code, which is a unique QR code that is assigned to each attendee in the Guidebook system. This code acts as a digital identifier that makes it easy for attendees to connect with each other or check into sessions.

Soon, we’ll be evolving the use of the Guidebook ID QR Code by allowing planners to print it on badges straight from our product. 

With this evolution, the Guidebook ID QR Code will become a key tool for streamlining check-in, improving session tracking, and enhancing attendee interactions — all within one system.

Three Ways to Print Badges With Guidebook

Along with integrating the Guidebook ID QR Code onto badges, event organizers will soon have three flexible options for badge printing:

  • DIY Badges: Design your badges with the Guidebook ID QR Code and print them yourself.
  • Professionally Printed Badges: Design your badges with the Guidebook ID QR Code and print professionally with customizations.
  • Onsite Badge Printing: Already available today, work with Guidebook’s badging partner, Expo Pass, to print onsite badges with the Guidebook ID QR Code on them.

With these three options, event planners will have the flexibility to choose the badge printing solution that meets their needs.

This will eliminate the need for juggling multiple systems, and help Guidebook customers to save time and reduce repetitive tasks, by managing badging, their event app and registration from one platform.

Why Badging? Why Now?

Event planners know that check-in can be one of the biggest pain points. Long lines or scrambling to match names with faces can create a frustrating first impression and set the wrong tone for the entire event.

Since the Guidebook system already houses attendee data, integrating badging was the natural next step. With all attendee information in one place, organizers will be able to generate and print badges without the hassle of managing multiple tools.

In addition, with Guidebook Registration, we took a major step forward, transitioning from an event app platform to an event management platform. Now, with badging, we’re addressing another critical piece of the event planning process.

Next up? Advanced Registration with support for paid events, multiple ticket types, and even more flexibility for event planners.

And after that?Our intention is to capitalize on Guidebook Badges to support event exhibitors and sponsors with collecting leads.
